In 1958, the body was modified to a double cutaway shape, providing improved access to the entire length of the fretboard. The secret is in the onboard controls: wide open, that single Dogear P-90 can snarl like a junkyard dog, but roll the volume back and it will clean up wonderfully and deliver beautiful, clean tones with jangle and chime in abundance. Adjusting your picking hand position can provide even more tonal variety. And, if you think a guitar without a neck pickup won’t sound fat enough, try rolling back the Junior’s tone control for sweet, warm, jazzy tones. The 1960s Kalamazoo headstock is equipped with Epiphone Deluxe tuners featuring ivory buttons and a Graph Tech nut for solid tuning stability and undeniable vintage appeal.
