Gibson Custom and the Murphy Lab have reimagined this iconic, groundbreaking design as a special order from its first year of release when Cherry and Ebony were the only custom-color options. This dream version is elegantly styled in Ebony with gold hardware and white plastics, giving it a sophisticated “tuxedo” look. Finished in Murphy Lab Aged Nitrocellulose Lacquer and featuring a 50s Vintage neck profile, this Flying V is a true head-turner equipped with an ABR-1 bridge, a string-through 2-piece Korina body, and a Korina neck with a 22-fret Indian rosewood fretboard. A pair of Custombucker pickups come with True Historic Aged Gold covers, while under the 4-ply pickguard, you’ll find CTS® pots and a vintage-style “phone book” tone capacitor. It comes with a historically accurate Flying V case featuring a classic brown exterior and a plush pink interior, enhancing the vintage-style experience.
