Hummingbird Anniversary Limited Edition, Cremona Burst
A very special Hummingbird Limited Edition celebrating 100 Years of Gibson Flat-Tops In celebration of 100 Years of Gibson Flat-Tops, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the Hummingbird™ Anniversary Limited Edition. Part of a special Anniversary Collection of five iconic acoustic models, with only 100 guitars of each model available, this stunning and collectible Hummingbird is crafted under the big skies of Bozeman, Montana, and built to inspire for generations. The Hummingbird Anniversary Limited Edition features mahogany back and sides paired with a select bear claw Sitka spruce top, delivering not only iconic Hummingbird tone, but also exceptional beauty. The back is framed by multi-ply binding. The top features multi-ply binding with abalone and an abalone rosette. The mahogany neck has a comfortable Round profile. The bound rosewood fretboard is equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. The single-ply bound headstock proudly displays the vintage script-style “The Gibson” logo, which is also inlaid in mother of pearl. The headstock comes equipped with a bone nut and gold-plated Grover® tuning machines with keystone buttons. The classic hummingbird, butterfly, and flower-themed pickguard is tortoise-shell colored. The rosewood belly-up bridge is equipped with a bone saddle and TUSQ® bridge pins, and features pyramid carvings on the bridge wings, just like the earliest Gibson flat-top models. The Hummingbird Anniversary Limited Edition is finished in a historic Cremona Burst gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and comes craftory-equipped with L.R. Baggs™ VTC electronics, with a piezo under-saddle sensor and active preamp. The soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls are easily accessible by the player while remaining all but invisible to the audience. It comes packaged in a Gibson Custom hardshell case, along with a Certificate of Authenticity. First released in 1960, the Gibson Hummingbird is one of the most widely recognized and popular acoustic guitar models of all time. It was the first square-shoulder dreadnought acoustic guitar model from Gibson. The Hummingbird has been the choice of countless players across generations and genres, in no small part due to its versatility; no matter how you attack this flat-top, it pumps out rich, deep tones and is equally at home strumming first-position chords as it is taking the spotlight for leads and solos. Here is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a limited-edition Hummingbird celebrating a century of Gibson flat-top acoustic guitar luthiery. Act fast and get yours while they’re still available.
