The iconic model that is the choice of musical legends for its exceptional versatility The Gibson EDS-1275 is an icon of the guitar world, embraced by legendary musicians from Jimmy Page to Alex Lifeson, Don Felder to John McLaughlin, and Steve Miller to Slash. This guitar’s exceptional versatility is why it has been widely adopted by so many great players across many different genres. The EDS-1275 Doubleneck’s two necks—one with 12 strings and the other a standard six-string—allow players to switch from the chime, fullness, and harmonic complexity of a 12-string for chords and rhythm parts to the six-string neck for heavy riffs and lead lines instantly. The flexibility of the EDS-1275 is simply unmatched by any single-neck guitar. The EDS-1275 is also an iconic design in its styling, with an SG™-inspired shape that is instantly recognizable to fans worldwide. Now, Epiphone is proud to introduce the EDS-1275 Doubleneck, our Inspired by Gibson version of the EDS-1275 that makes this legendary model accessible to more players than ever. It features an SG-inspired mahogany body with deep cutaways for easy access to the upper frets of both necks. It has two mahogany necks, each with a fast-playing SlimTaper™ C profile. The laurel fretboards are each equipped with 20 medium jumbo frets and dressed up with classic pearloid split parallelogram inlays. The six-string neck features Epiphone’s standard 43 mm / 1.693” width at the nut, while the 12-string neck is 45 mm / 1.772” wide at the nut, giving you some extra space to make playing the 12-strings a bit easier. A set of four of Epiphone’s acclaimed ProBucker™ pickups power the EDS-1275 Doubleneck, with ProBucker 2 pickups installed in the two neck positions and slightly hotter ProBucker 3 models mounted in both bridge positions. The 12-string pickups are equipped with gold-plated covers, while the six-string pickups are left uncovered, which gives them a bit brighter, more open tone with increased clarity. The rest of the hardware is also gold-plated, including the two Epiphone LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridges and the EDS-1275 claw-style tailpieces. The Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines are also gold-plated and have ivory-colored Keystone buttons. They keep the guitar solidly in tune, so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning. Controls consist of two volume and two tone controls with black Speed knobs and a three-way pickup selector toggle switch. A second three-way toggle switch lets you activate either neck singly or both necks simultaneously. A standard hardshell case is also included. Don’t miss your opportunity to own one of these instantly identifiable, iconic, and highly versatile guitars.
