58 Korina Explorer Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard, Aged Natural
Explore the Magic of Korina and Brazilian Rosewood Gibson Custom Shop is the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality, and sound excellence. Each instrument celebrates Gibson's legacy through accuracy, authenticity, and attention to detail. This is it - one of the rarest and most desirable guitars ever made, brought back through the magic and artistry of the Gibson Custom Shop. The Gibson Explorer™ was way ahead of its time when it was introduced in 1958, and only 19 were shipped that year, but it has become very popular in the years since then. All of the classic vintage Explorer features have been 100% accurately recreated in this Collector's Edition model, right down to the cases, which are just as historically accurate as the guitars themselves. Featuring an ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, a korina body, Custombucker pickups, korina neck, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, two volume and one tone control with CTS® pots and a phone book capacitor, gold hardware, Kluson® tuners, and a 4-ply off-white pickguard. It also features Custom Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Custom Aged finish treatment, paired with Custom Aged hardware, simulates decades of light play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era. This limited run of 19 guitars is only available in the USA.
