The new Les Paul Studio models have been a big hit with players everywhere, and it’s easy to understand why. We designed the Les Paul™ Studio to be the type of guitar that you won’t want to put down. It’s the perfect musical companion, no matter what kind of music you play. You can rely on the Les Paul Studio to provide the tonal versatility and playability that will more than rise to the occasion, whether you’re practicing at home, writing a new song, laying down parts in the studio, or playing in front of fans onstage. For decades, the Les Paul Studio has been the choice of countless guitarists who appreciate the combination of the essential Les Paul features–humbucking pickups, a glued-in, set neck, and a mahogany body with a maple cap–at an accessible price and without some of the flashier and more costly cosmetic features of higher-end Les Paul models. Now, the Les Paul Studio has been updated and is more versatile than ever. It features an Ultra Modern weight-relieved mahogany body, making it lighter and more comfortable to play, hour after hour. The carved, plain maple cap adds brightness and definition to the tone and combines perfectly with the warmth and rich midrange from the mahogany body for that legendary Les Paul sound that has been featured on countless recordings and on concert stages worldwide. The glued-in mahogany neck delivers stable coupling between the neck and body for increased resonance and sustain. The neck features a traditional heel and a comfortable SlimTaper™ profile, and it is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The 12” fretboard radius makes playing chords and lead lines equally effortless without having to worry about string bends choking out. The Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons add to the guitar’s classic visual appeal, and together with the fully adjustable aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, lightweight aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and Graph Tech® nut, help to ensure rock-solid tuning stability. The Les Paul Studio is equipped with a pair of Gibson’s renowned Burstbucker™ Pro pickups and a three-way pickup selector switch that allows you to use either pickup individually or together. Each of the two pickups is wired to its own volume control, so you can blend the sound from the pickups together in any ratio you choose. Each volume control is equipped with a push/pull switch for coil tapping, giving you two different sounds from each pickup, and each pickup also has its own individual tone control for even more sonic options. The endless tonal possibilities, exceptional sustain, resonance, and comfortable playability make the Les Paul Studio the one guitar you can rely on for any musical genre or scenario. The Les Paul Studio is the essential Les Paul, refined and updated for today’s guitarists, and is now available in an exclusive eye-catching Pelham Blue gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish that you can only get directly from Gibson, either online or at the Gibson Garage.
